Inventory

 The inventory module provides an integration point for concepts such as samples, plates, and compounds.

This allows BioRails to access business logic directly from integrated systems such as compound or animal ordering management applications within the BioRails environment. These systems are typically already available in most organisations. The inventory module is provided as a full plug-in, supporting either integration of existing systems or rapid implementation of custom applications for inventory control of items such as tissues or biologics. 

Example inventory plugin integrating common chemistry components from vendors such as Symyx, Chemaxon, Accelrys, etc.
