We upgraded to  MS Office 2010 recently and our add-ins/xla's stopped compiling, throwing an Object Error Invalid error. This is seen when VB controls are used in the vba projects. The error occurs because new versions of the VB6.0 runtime files have been installed. When the controls are used in Excel a corresponding EXD file is created.
